On Stanley’s recent 97th birthday on November 25, his family showed up at the Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital, where he was warded, to celebrate the occasion. It is not known why the mogul was hospitalised.

Sina reported that Stanley was very happy with Mario’s present. Mario had also apparently told the paparazzi at the hospital that Stanley initially could not believe that he was holding Mario’s prospectus. “When he first knew [about the IPO], he was very surprised and didn’t believe that it really happened. He studied my prospectus for a long time. But he told me he hoped this is not the only prospectus I get in my life, and that I will have many more prospectuses to show him.”
Meanwhile, the report added that Mario’s older sister Sabrina had bought their dad… thermal wear for his birthday. Pretty thoughtful present for the elderly, though Sabrina would probably have to give Stanley the whole Buckingham Palace to outdo Mario’s gift.
